Second Degree Assault & Civil Protective Order
Client was falsely accused of second-degree assault (facing a maximum of ten years in prison) and a civil protective order. Client had all of his firearms seized and his security clearances placed in jeopardy. We prepared and were ready to take the criminal case to trial. Day of the criminal trial, we walked out of court with all criminal charges dropped. After a trial in the district court, and a de novo appeal in the circuit court, we were able to get the protective order overturned and vacated.
